What went wrong: SEAGLOBE

here's what not to do when making your own sea globe...

Once again, I've been sucked into the colorful world of DIYs, and so here, I bring to you a DIY sea globe. Funny story actually, well, it's supposed to be a snow globe, but seeing as how I didn't have any Christmas/Snow themed figurines lying around to add to the jar, I improvised. DIYs never seem to end well for me even though I love trying them out, and viola, another series if formed! I did the Pin it, Do it series(well not really, since I only had one post in it) back in October because I was so obsessed with Pinterest, and since I don't really go on the site that much anymore, and I usually pick up DIY inspirations from various places, I thought of basically creating a new series, yeah? Here is What went wrong- a place to embrace my DIY fails.

And for this installment, well, the sea globe didn't really go as I imagined. Tip number one is to use large seashells, or figurines or whatever you want on your jar, otherwise the neck of the bottle would just cover it up. Second, don't use too much glycerin, just a few drops would do. Third, use epoxy to seal the jar, trust me, you don't want to use glue gun, and make sure the glue settles before actually shaking the jar.

Which do you prefer: Snow globes or Sea globes? x

  1. Oh no! Nevertheless, the idea of your sea globe is super cute! I am a lover of anything DIY and yeah, sometimes some of your projects aren't going to turn out so well, but you always learn from your mistakes!

I'm actually really digging this sea globe! Great post!
