Polaroid Cube

snaps in a box...

Would you look at that, it's already March! School has gotten me completely maxed out, once again. I don't really want to go on about how I'll try to make up for not posting in a while because I'm not really sure when I'll be able to post again, but I will try to make time for thinking of new contents.

This is my last week of normal classes at school, and next week is our final examinations, and after that would be our clearance week. I am beyond excited for my summer vacation. I hope I'll be able to document some of it here, but one thing's for sure- I'll be going home to the Philippines!

Moving on, today, I bring you a sort-of #TechTuesday post when it's obviously not a Tuesday(haha). The latest gadget I had gotten my hands on recently is the Polaroid Cube HD Action Camera. Wow, that's a mouthful!

I've heard about this little cam for a while now, and it got my attention, once again, after seeing it on a brochure from Jarir. What I liked about it the first time I saw it was how I would be able to take it anywhere with me whenever I'm on the go. I looked up demos and reviews about it on youtube before  going for it, I'll be linking some of the demo videos I watched at the end of the post.

The camera comes in a minimalistic clear cube. The products included are: the camera, a wire connector for charging, an instruction manual, a user guide and a warranty book. The Polaroid Cube is available in the colors red, blue and black, but obviously I went for the red.

On one side of the Polaroid Cube is the lens. On the bottom, a circular magnet can be found, designed to stick on any metal surfaces, but especially on helmets and skateboards. On the side opposite the lens is sort of like the control panel where you can find the sd card slot, the usb port, and the option for recording on 720p or 1080p.  That same side is protected by a circular lid that can be opened by twisting an edge of a coin on it.

The Polaroid Cube supports Micro SD up to 32 GB. It has about 90 minutes of battery life, and it charges in about 3 hours. Bumper cases, a waterproof case, and different kinds of mounts are available around the market.

I'm really excited to use this handy camera. I think I'll be very appreciative of it during my summer vacation because I don't think I'll ever let go of it! I just wish there was a slot for straps somewhere on the external side of the cam to be sure I won't lose it. I'll be trusting my new Polaroid Cube to capture memories on my vacation, I do hope it won't let me down!
